Sabbath were named the most inspirational band in rock on Thursday, June 7, at The Kerrang! Awards 2012 Fuelled
By Relentless Energy Drink.
The reformed band - consisting of vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi and bass player Geezer Butler - picked up the Inspiration Award at Kerrang! magazine's annual awards show at The Brewery in Barbican, London.

Iommi has revealed that he was undergoing chemotherapy treatment
for cancer during the recording sessions for the band's new
album.
Iommi, who was diagnosed with lymphoma late last year, told Kerrang! magazine, "It was good for me to do that. I did feel tired and sick - and it does make you sick, you start throwing up. But on the days when I felt I could do it, we were all there working."
Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler added, "[Tony] was going to the hospital one day, and we'd go into the studio the next depending on how the chemo was affecting him."
